Framed piece measures 28" x 21.75"

This piece was handprinted using traditional block printing techniques. Texture and grain from the woodblock can be seen throughout the piece.  It is these "imperfect" and inconsistent qualities that give block printing its charm and unique quality that other printing techniques can't attain. Due to the nature of hand printing, each piece has slight variations from each other and may vary slightly from the image pictured. Each piece is hand printed onto archival paper. 

Paige Dirksen is a printmaker and muralist residing in Bella Vista, AR. She grew up in Iowa and earned a BA in Studio Art/Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa and an MA in Art Therapy Counseling from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Paige primarily works with woodcuts and other forms of printmaking, but enjoys exploring different media as well.
